From the founder
Why I built Reglo
I'm Gursimran Bassi, founder of Reglo — a platform built to make compliance simpler for law firms and other regulated businesses.
My interest in this problem started while working in law firms during my IT studies. From the inside of a small and medium-sized firm, I saw first-hand how challenging and time-consuming compliance management can be. Compliance is essential, but much of the work was still being run through spreadsheets, documents, emails, shared folders, and manual follow-ups.
I watched lawyers, compliance teams, practice managers, COLPs and COFAs spend valuable time updating policies, recording compliance activities, chasing responses, preparing reports, and gathering evidence for audits. The work mattered — but it felt more complicated and more time-consuming than it needed to be.
That led me to a simple question: what if there was a system that made compliance significantly easier, saved firms time every day, and delivered value that far outweighed its cost? That question became Reglo. And with frontier AI models now able to read policy documents, understand regulatory obligations, and draft accurate updates with a clear trail of their reasoning, it was finally a problem technology could solve well.
We are starting with SRA-regulated law firms, where compliance teams and management navigate increasingly complex requirements with limited resources. The goal is to reduce manual effort, improve visibility, and help firms stay audit-ready without the stress and disruption that compliance management often brings.
The longer-term vision is to make compliance simpler for regulated businesses everywhere — proactive rather than reactive, built into everyday work rather than managed through spreadsheets and email chains, and easy to evidence without adding administrative burden.
My background is in computer science, software development, and business operations. I care about building practical technology that solves real operational problems and delivers real value to the people who use it — and Reglo exists to help firms cut the time they spend on compliance admin, chasing, and reports, so there's more time for client work, growth, and running the business.
